Quick fixes during service
The things that most often go wrong at the counter, and what to do about each.
Short answers for the middle of a shift. If none of these fixes it, contact support — and if you cannot take orders right now, say so, because those come first.
The tablet says it needs setting up
In the owner dashboard add a terminal under People → Devices and type the setup code into the tablet. If the tablet says it already belongs to a different device, contact support before doing anything else.
The setup code will not work
A setup code lasts fifteen minutes and works once. Create another one. If a second code is also refused, check that the tablet can reach the internet at all.
Staff cannot sign in
Check the person has a PIN under People in the owner dashboard. If the tablet has been offline for a long time, reconnect it to Wi-Fi so it refreshes its staff list.
A tablet is lost or stolen
Revoke it under People → Devices. It stops working immediately, and everything it already recorded stays in your history.
Orders are not reaching the kitchen screen
A ticket appears when the order is sent to the kitchen. If the kitchen screen says it is offline, it catches up by itself when the connection returns.
A guest wants a printed receipt
Tap Receipt after the sale to show it on the register. To print it, open the order in the owner dashboard under Orders and choose Print — any printer your computer uses will do. Printing straight from the register: coming soon.
When cards cannot be taken
Card payments run on your own card processing account, with a card reader paired to the register. If a card payment’s result is ever unclear, the register says so and offers a status check — never a second charge.
