Set up a kitchen screen
Turn a tablet into the Main Expo, a station board or a pickup display.
Any connected tablet can show the kitchen: tap Kitchen in the bar at the top. The first time, it asks What will this screen be used for?
- Main Expo — every order; this is where finished orders are handed off. Choose this if you have one kitchen screen.
- Dine-in Expo, Takeout Expo, Delivery Expo — one kind of order only, for a busier pass.
- Kitchen board — one or more stations’ items only, for the cook at that station. Tick its stations (none ticked means every station).
- Pickup / guest display — ticket numbers as PREPARING and READY for guests to watch. No buttons.
A manager confirms with their PIN, and it needs a connection to DineStack. Once set up, the board’s name shows at the top left with Change under it.
From the owner dashboard
Owners and managers can set up every screen in one place under Menu → Kitchen screens: choose each tablet’s mode, and set the ticket timing — Warn after and Late after, in minutes (10 and 15 to start). Tablets pick up a change on their next refresh.
No kitchen screen? Under Kitchen screens, choose “Ready as soon as it is sent” and orders are treated as ready the moment the register sends them.
